PACOLI's Founder Message:

Welcome to PACOLI
PACOLI New York Inc. is a registered nonprofit organization with the IRS under article 501(c)(3), established in 2008, with a nonreligious and non-political affiliation. Our mission is simple yet profound: to serve the community, strengthen civic awareness, and build bridges of understanding and participation.
This is more than a website—it is a community network. A place where service meets responsibility, and identity meets inclusion.
We proudly celebrate the national days of both the United States and Pakistan, honoring the values of freedom, dignity, and unity that bind communities across borders. Through meaningful social initiatives—school supply drives, food distributions, soup kitchens, medical clinics, and clean water projects for underserved families in Pakistan—we translate compassion into action.
PACOLI also serves as a bridge between the Pakistani American community and mainstream civic life, encouraging awareness, dialogue, and participation in the democratic process. We believe that informed engagement strengthens not only individuals but the society we all share.
Here, community means standing together.
Here, service means lifting one another.
Here, belonging comes with responsibility—and hope.
We invite you to explore, connect, and join a growing network committed to service, dignity, and civic unity.

Together, we serve. Together, we belong.

Helping Each Other

Our mission is to foster cultural, social, and political interactions among our members and to build bridges with mainstream U.S. politics. We engage in community service activities such as food drives, soup kitchens, voter registration, and other charitable works.

Our Mission

At PACOLI New York, we are the unbreakable thread weaving together the dreams of the Pakistani American community. For over 50 years, we’ve championed non-religious, non-political bridges of culture, education, and social empowerment—sparking festivals that echo laughter across generations, voter drives that amplify voices in the halls of democracy, and charitable waves that quench thirst in distant villages. We don’t just serve; we inspire action, foster unbreakable bonds, and transform challenges into triumphs. Join us—because when one rises, we all soar. Together, we’re not just building a community; we’re crafting a legacy of hope that echoes forever.

Our Story

In the vibrant mosaic of 1970s Long Island, a handful of Pakistani pioneers—far from home, yet fiercely connected—gathered in living rooms lit by shared stories and steamy cups of chai. That spark? It was PACOLI’s birth, founded by visionary Bashir Qamar, evolving from quiet mutual aid into a powerhouse of possibility. Through economic storms, 9/11 shadows, and global calls for unity, we’ve installed life-saving hand pumps in sun-baked Pakistani hamlets, fed thousands through soup kitchens, and celebrated independence with parades that paint New York green and white. Today, as trailblazers like our first female president Azra Dhar lead the charge, we’re expanding chapters nationwide—proving that one act of kindness ripples into revolutions. This isn’t just our story; it’s yours waiting to unfold. Step in, lend your fire, and let’s write the next chapter of unbreakable resilience and radiant joy. What will you ignite?
